When I was seven I turned to my Grandmother and said "I get so excited in the theatre, I feel like I'm going to be sick."
Sian Brett tells us how since childhood she had been sure her future lay in theatre, until her Dad's sudden sickness made it hard to be certain about anything.
Sian is a writer and stand-up based in south-east London, who recently graduated from Goldsmiths University, where she is now an associate artist. Her debut play Heroes was produced by her company Box Room Theatre, and had a sell-out run at The London Theatre and received 4 star reviews. Box Room Theatre have since been awarded the Goldsmiths Innovation Award. Recently, Sian’s work with feminist ensemble The Völvas and their show The Vagina Dialogues saw them sell out shows at Summerhall during the Edinburgh Fringe and receive 4 and 5 star reviews.’
