Sister

"My sister is a fighter, and a winner."

In a rousing and celebratory piece, writer Sogol Sur talks about how her sister has influenced her; gifting her a love of literature, the English language and constant inspiration,  encouraging her to write when many people, including Sogol herself, didn't believe she could. Now, despite living thousands of miles apart, they are growing ever closer. 

Sogol Sur is the author of the poetry collection, Sorrows of the Sun (Skyscraper, 2017). She is currently undertaking a doctorate in creative writing at Birkbeck college, University of London, and working on her debut short story collection.
