Arts practitioner Viv Buckley considers her own life, 100 years after women first got the vote - as a successful theatre maker, a teacher and an advocate for young people - and asks what it would take to take up the call to arms.

Viv Buckley is an arts practitioner and educationalist from the South Wales area. For many years she was a teacher in post 16 and HE institutions specialising in preparing young people for specialist performance training. Viv is the Artistic Director of the internationally renowned West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company and GradCo. She is currently the Deputy Principal at Bridgend College responsible for curriculum and teaching and learning and in 2017 Viv was commissioned to create a piece of theatre with young people from the Batley and Spen area to commemorate Jo Cox.
