Becoming a mature student on a Masters writing course was a dream come true for Sarah Hegarty, giving her the space and encouragement she needed to find her voice as an author. In May 2006 she submitted her dissertation and eagerly awaited the results. But by September her thoughts couldn't have been further from the writer's desk.
Sarah Hegarty’s short fiction has been published on-line and in anthologies, most recently in the Momaya Short Story Review and The Mechanics’ Institute Review. She’s working on her second novel, which was longlisted in the 2017 Mslexia Novel Competition. She lives in Guildford, where she is Writer in Residence at George Abbot School.
